About

Welcome to the 39th Annual ASSP Region VI PDC

This year mark’s the American Society of Safety Professional’s Region VI Professional Development Conference 39th year. This regional PDC brings the unique needs of the workforce from states within our region which makes it especially important for us to network with other EHS professionals who we can learn from and lean on in our area. One resounding comment we hear back from attendees each and every year is how great it was for people to network and connect with others within their state or at least our Region. They've said it helps with getting new jobs, staying more connected, and has a local resource they can call on rather than someone halfway across the country in a completely different industry and region.

Who are we? Conference that brings together EHS professionals from Region VI including Maryland, District of Columbia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

What? Three days of educational sessions, three keynote general sessions and two days of pre-conference sessions.

Where? This year we are back at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

When? Our PDC is taking place from September 15th to the 19th.

Traveling and Lodging

  • Under the Travel tab of our website at regionsixpdc.com/hotel you can find complete information on booking your

  • You will see on our Traval page that there are a few different options to choose from. Going through the website will help clarify what each are. Most people decide to stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel. It is the same building where the venue is so most prefer the convenience of staying in the same spot. The Villas are an option for those who want a more secluded feel. They are actual apartment style accommodations where you get the luxury of being a bit more isolated from the happenings of the hotel. The only downside some note is you may be in a villa where its just far enough from the venue where you would have to drive (the Kingston Plantation campus is very large) and its a far distance from the beach access. The condos are another great option. The condos are for guests who need multiple bedrooms per room. The Condos are housed in another building from where the event is held although it is a very short walk to the venue (the next building over). here
